Ngũ Hành Sơn - The marble mountains
Ngũ Hành Sơn - Five Elements mountains - are marble mountains and Ngũ Hành Sơn is the common name of these mountains in the Da Nang. Emperor Minh Mang has named each mountain represents the major elements of the universe: Kim Sơn - Steel mountain, Thủy Sơn - Water mountain, Thổ Sơn - Soil mountain, Mộc Sơn - Wood mountain and Hỏa Sơn - Fire mountain
Ngũ Hành Sơn is away from Danang center about 5 km to the southeast, on a vast sandy beach near the coast, the village of Hoa Khue, Son Thuy Hamlet, Hoa Vang District.
Arrive Ngũ Hành Sơn, tourists often come to Thủy Sơn, the biggest mountain. Then Tam Thai Pagoda, Linh Ung Pagoda. Step up on the stair up to the Ngũ Hành Sơn, it seems entering in a different world with the cool shade, opposite with the hot air out side.

The history of thes mountains are full of legends. In the Le dynasty, the King Le Thanh Tong (reigned 1460-1497) discovered the Ngũ Hành Sơn mountains. Great monk Huệ Đạo Minh was the first one stayed Thuy Son and erected the stele“Ngũ Uẩn Sơn” at the Vân Thông cave in 1640. The second stele was erected at Hoa Nghiêm cave in 1641.
