Ánh Sáng hamlet

In 1930, because the reign harsh and the poor land, many people of Thua Thien - Hue province first came in Dalat. Then they returned hometo bring children, wife and relatives to the this land, they settle down and buld up business. They live in downtown area and along the Great Lakes to grow vegetables and sell, and then Ấp Ánh Sáng was formed in 1952. One of the founder Mr. Cao Minh Hieu, the mayor of Dalat, and the village name is from the name of Ánh Sáng movement of Tu Luc Van Doan group.
Many old man said: In 1930, this place was only 5 to 6 families of the village of Ke Mon, Phuoc Yen to live with the simple hut .

The three brothers Cao Ky, Quang Cao Cao Xa were the ones who established the Ap Anh Sang hamlet. Then, dozens of families from Thua Thien - Hue found that living here is more convenient and easy then they came together on this land to live and became more crowded.

In 1946, because of the war, many family farmers in Ánh Sáng hamlet have evacuated to other places. Late in 1947, they gradually settled in the old place. By 1952, when established and officially named Ánh Sáng hamlet , then there were only houses are built on flat land along a hillside A-shaped roof, 7.5 m wide wooden wall, 12m long, divided into two blocks separated by an aisle, each 4 m apart forming a lovely small town for 36 families. By 1953, the electric was formally put in used for the Ánh Sáng hamlet.

Years later, due to political events, many people of Thua Thien - Hue worried about the war raged at home so they came together to Da Lat, and the Ánh Sáng hamlet was grown up to hundred of families.

In 1955-1956, a number of houses in Ánh Sáng hamlet were in clearance, they came to Thái Phiên (a hamlet in Dalat) living as farmers. Some other moved to the Hoa Binh square area, they opened shops. The people Thua Thien - Hue living in Da Lat carried their traditions and customs of weddings, funerals, carnivals, dress along when since they moved in Dalat. It deeply influenced by the rites of the imperial palace in Hue to the life style in Dalat

Hue people usualy made their own church their own family temple, the worshiping is not only for Hue fellow in Dalat but also for the tie relationship with the Hue in their home town.

They are very picky in everything from ways to do daily activities. Dress, the hat poem of Hue has also introduced and became the style of Dalat girls in that time.

Currently, the Ánh Sáng hamlet is being cleared to build the center of Dalat. Ánh Sáng hamlet Dalat is not only the memories of Dalat peoplebut also for tourists who visit this beautiful city. The people of Hue in Dalat, Hue dishes will forever be the characteristics of the city of flower, Dalat.
