Trúc Lâm Monastery
Truc Lam Monastery of the Truc Lam Yen Tu branch in Da Lat city. The Monastery is awat 5km from the center of Dalat city, It is located on the Phoenix Mountains, above Tuyen Lam Lake.
This is the largest monastery, the construction began in 1993, in 1994 the construction of monastery is completed, Truc Lam monastery was designed by architect Vu Xuan Loc, Tran Duc Hung and participatory design of the famous architect Professor Ngo Viet Thu (who designed the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh city).
Monastery is divided into four areas: the outer area, inner area for monk, inner area for nun and Venerable Abbot area.
This is a unique architecture beside Tuyen Lam Lake. Starting from the Tuyen Lam Lake is a steep path with 140 steps of stone, flanked by the towering pine tree through three gates leading into the main gate for electricity. The main hall area is about 192m square .
From the main hall overlooking Tinh Tam Lake, the landscape is very beautiful,
Below the middle hills, near Tinh Tam Lake is a two-storey guest house tucked on a hill with lush green gardens. and the bamboo forest. Standing in front of the house, you could see elephants peaks down to Tuyen Lam lake reflecting.
